A new blog for me, by: fallen angel, has a post about how dancing can help overcome shyness. This is a great idea. I can certainly recall how much I enjoyed learning to dance, though I cannot say that i did it to overcome my shyness

If you are a shy, introverted person, why not try dancing lessons? It seems a great idea not only to meet people, make friends but also to have a fun time. Maybe too it will help you overcome your shyness, it might even go as far as to make you the admiration of your friends as they watch you dance and wish they could do so too.

We all know that shyness can be a barrier to success and opportunities in life so this seems like a great way to help overcome this barrier. You can learn a new skill, impress people and gain confidence at the same time. What have you got to lose?

Yes, I can just imagine people sitting reading this thinking to themselves, I’m no good at dancing. That’s not the point, you are going to lessons, nobody there will be good at dancing. Sure some may be a little better than others and some may learn quicker than others but that just gives you opprtunities to praise or congratulate them!

Don’t forget, success on the dance floor may well lead to success in other areas of life, such as romance or business.
